Why Does Hair Turn Gray With Aging?

February 19th, 2010

Hair is a significant part of our human body which reveals the good health of a human being. When Hair is healthy that means, the body is also healthy and free from diseases. The important nutrition for a good hair growth is found to be from iron.

There are numerous reasons why hair turns gray with aging. Organs of human body are actually all types of wear and tear material. When melanin pigment gets reduced when we get older the hair starts to change from it’s natural color to a more gray shade. Very few people usually up till their early 50s only contain less than 10% of gray hair overall, I personally think that because of their more greens intake the melanin pigment secretion was not affected as much.

There is a high belief among the Chinese saying that when a human input and output are well balanced with a high-fiber and low-carbohydrate diet, they will not only look younger including their hair color, but be younger. On the other hand, it is found that people taking red wine seems to be looking younger because of the REVERTAL component.

People in Denmark looks younger both on hair and appearance which has been stated is mainly due to Red wine intake. Hair turning gray color due to aging is not in humans alone it is more appropriate in chimps and other monkey species also of which we are said to be closely related to.

Getting old is a natural phenomenon. Aging is the law of nature and it happens gradually with time. There is nothing much we can do about it as it is a naturally existing law. However there are a lot of external factors which might cause early aging of a human being. Smoking is the main reason behind people getting old before time.

People who smoke excessively suffer from various heart, kidney and lung disorders which results in the weakening of the immune power of their body, as a result of which the resistance to fight against the diseases decreases considerably, making them prone to the aging defects. Smoking also results in the skin disorders and graying of hair which is a clear indication of aging. Excessive drinking also results in the aging defects. Secondly wrong eating habits also cause people to grow old before they should.

All this can be prevented by following a healthy diet and a daily exercise routine. This will ensure that all your body parts remain in shape and stay healthy and you don’t fall prey to the early aging disorders. Some people suffer from genetic disorder or sudden hormonal changes which also results in premature aging. Doctors blame the changing lifestyles for the premature and untimely aging of the people. It should be understood that we cannot control aging but we can control the rate at which it happens, for sure. A healthy life style will definitely ensure your youth for quite a long time.

When your growing old you don’t want a permanent frown. So smile, smile it up. Wear a smile around like its going out of style. Another factor could be the way you sleep. Its recommended to stay off of your face. Sleeping every night with your face in the pillow can cause unwanted fine wrinkles.

The children take care of them with much love and care.  But once the modern life style got its way into the eastern society, there also the parents are neglected. But now governments give at most care for them. Let us deal how the baby boomers understand the difficulties of the aged parents and how they react to it.

The unproductive age is a serious matter for the society as a whole.
